Cargill’s annual golf tournament is going virtual and raising funds for Ronald McDonald House Charities Canada

TORONTO, June 15, 2021 - Cargill has announced that it is committing $184,000 in matching grant funds to support to Ronald McDonald House Charities Canada (RMHC Canada), as part of its annual Fore! The Houses golf tournament fundraiser. The organization is generously matching donations from Canadians, Cargill partners, and community supporters.

Cargill’s commitment will enable up to 1,150 nights for families to stay together at Ronald McDonald Houses across Canada, ensuring families with sick children receive the comfort and care of RMHC, when its needed most.

“We are so grateful for the generous and continued support of our partners at Cargill, which helps make a true difference for families with sick children,” said Cathy Loblaw, CEO, RMHC Canada. “Families need the support of RMHC now more than ever, to have a safe and comforting place to stay just steps away from their child in hospital.”

Cargill has been a longtime supporter of RMHC as a National Mission Partner since 2005 in Canada – helping to raise over $5.3M in support of families with sick children. This year marks the sixteenth year they have done the annual fundraiser, and the second virtual fundraising event as they embrace the guidance of experts to keep participants healthy amidst the global pandemic.
