(Toronto, April 5, 2022) – Today, Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Canada and Bosch Home Appliances are pleased to announce a new partnership which will have a lasting impact on the charity’s mission to support families with sick children across Canada. As RMHC Canada’s newest National Mission Partner, Bosch’s four-year commitment will provide vital program funding and the opportunity to outfit RMHC’s 33 program locations across Canada with its German engineered home appliances.

This partnership echoes Bosch’s promise of improving the quality of life of its customers and takes pride in sharing those same values with RMHC.

“Each of our 33 RMHC programs across Canada offer families the familiar comforts of home to help make our families’ journeys a little easier, such as a place to sleep, a kitchen to prepare your child’s favourite meal, laundry facilities, and so much more,” said Cathy Loblaw, CEO, RMHC Canada. “Appliances are an important extension of RMHC’s mission delivery and our ability to support the overall health and well-being of our families. We are incredibly grateful to our partners at Bosch for meeting us where our families’ needs are, at a time when it’s needed most.”

Renowned for creating appliances “Invented for Life”, Bosch Home Appliances are designed to be peacefully uncomplicated, bringing efficiency and joyful ease to daily tasks. Ronald McDonald Houses and Family Rooms across Canada will receive kitchen and laundry equipment upgrades to reduce time and provide effortless cooking and cleaning solutions – from quiet dishwashers, to ovens that will help families tackle dinner faster.

In addition, RMHC laundry facilities will be equipped with Bosch’s ENERGY STAR award-winning compact laundry pairs. From its SuperQuick 15 cycle that finishes small loads in just 15 minutes to its mobile operated Home Connect™ app that provides status notifications direct to your smartphone, families will benefit from Bosch’s connected time saving appliances.

“The values of service to the community expressed through the work of Ronald McDonald Houses, closely aligns with the core values of the Bosch brand, and our slogan, Invented for Life”, said CEO Dale Elliott. “That’s why we are proud to support this much needed service, keeping families connected during a stressful time” he added.

“It’s important to note that the motivation for our involvement with RMHC came from our Culture Team. It’s made up of employees who dedicated themselves to finding a worthy cause to partner with and support”, said Rainer Kinateder, CFO. “They recognized the immense need to support families who are feeling the stress of having to travel far from home to get the medical treatment their sick child needs” he continued.

RMHC is a part of, and partner to, Canada’s pediatric healthcare system, enabling access to children’s hospitals across the country for families with a sick child, and helping to make their journey a little easier. That is why Bosch is proud to support RMHC in keeping families together, and close to the medical care their sick child needs.

The 16 Ronald McDonald Houses provide out-of-town families with a home to stay at while their child is being treated at a nearby hospital, while the 17 Ronald McDonald Family Rooms provide a comfortable place for families to rest and recharge, right inside hospitals.
