Together we are raising $3,000 for Ronald McDonald House Toronto.
This year marks the 27th McHappy Day for McDonald’s® Canada, following a pause last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It is the company’s longest running and largest charitable initiative with more than 1,400 McDonald’s restaurants celebrating McHappy Day this year. McDonald's Bayfield Street in Barrie is proud to be part of this great fundraiser and help to support our Toronto House. The impact of Ronald McDonald House Charities across our communities is far-reaching. Today, 1 in 4 Canadians has either stayed at RMHC or know someone who has. Annually, the RMHC network of programs in Canada helps to keep more than 26,000 families from over 3,400 Canadian communities close to their sick child and the care they need each year. The 16 Ronald McDonald Houses provide outof-town families with a home to stay at while their child is being treated at a nearby hospital, while the 17 Ronald McDonald Family Rooms provide a comfortable place for families to rest and recharge, right inside hospitals. Despite the pandemic, RMHC stayed open to support families and proudly served 11,617 families in 2020, providing over 80,000 nights of accommodations for families at Ronald McDonald Houses and Family Rooms across the country And yet the need continues – each year more than 3,000 families never make it off RMHC’s waitlists, with an estimated 45,000 Canadian families left without the comfort and support of RMHC. McHappy Day provides critical funding for RMHC to continue to be there for families when they need it most.
