When our youngest daughter Codi was born at 25 weeks gestations we stayed at the Ronald McDonald House in Calgary Alberta for 4 1/2 months. During that time the house became our home away from home. After a long day at the hospital we were able to come back to the house and have a delicious home cooked meal, visit with families who were all experiencing similar struggles and emotions, and have our own room to retreat to in the evening. When our older girls came to visit they loved all of the programing the house had to offer including, crafts, baking, outings, and on site visits from Petland. The playroom and playground were amazing and they loved the fresh cookies that were there. The Ronald McDonald House was a safe environment that provided much comfort to us during that time and holds a special place in our hearts.
