RMHC® Canada Moments That Count Campaign (“Campaign”)

Submission Terms (“Terms”)


Thank you for your interest in participating in the Campaign. Here are the ways you can submit content in connection with the Campaign:

1. RMHC CANADA WEBSITE: You can submit your submission (text, photo and/or video) on rmhccanada.ca/momentsthatcount (or rmhccanada.ca/fr/chaquemomentcompte in French; collectively, the “Campaign Website”), including the required information (your first name, your first initial of last name, your town/city and province/territory).

2. Twitter: Using your personal Twitter account, you can tweet your submission (text, photo and/or video), and your tweet must also include #RMHCMomentsCount that includes (or #OMRMChaqueMomentCompte in French).

3. Facebook: Using your personal Facebook account, you can post your submission (text, photo and/or video), and your post must also include #RMHCMomentsCount (or #OMRMChaqueMomentCompte in French).

4. Instagram: Using your personal Instagram account, you can post your submission (text, photo and/or video), and your post must also include #RMHCMomentsCount (or #OMRMChaqueMomentCompte in French).

5. TikTok: Using your personal TikTok account, you can post your submission (text, photo and/or video), and your post must also include #RMHCMomentsCount (or #OMRMChaqueMomentCompte in French).

6. LinkedIn: Using your personal LinkedIn account, you can post your submission (text, photo and/or video), and your post must also include #RMHCMomentsCount (or #OMRMChaqueMomentCompte in French).
 
In exchange for the opportunity to be featured in the Campaign, by participating in the Campaign (including without limitation submitting content in connection with the Campaign), you agree with Ronald McDonald House Charities® Canada (“RMHC® Canada) and any other entity involved in the production and use of the Materials (defined below) (collectively, the “Campaign Parties”) that you will comply with these Terms:

If I am participating in the Campaign by submitting content on the Campaign Website, I am of legal age of majority in my province/territory of residence.

If I am participating in the Campaign by submitting content via one of the permitted social channels, I am of legal age of majority in my province/territory of residence, or I am thirteen (13) years of age or older (but under the legal age of majority in my province/territory of residence) and my parent or legal guardian has also agreed that I will comply with these Terms on my behalf;

I agree that the content I submit in connection with the Campaign (including without limitation, if I am participating in the Campaign by submitting content on the Campaign Website, my first name, first initial of my last name, and my city/town and province/territory of residence; and if I am participating in the Campaign by submitting content via on of the permitted social channels, such information as may appear as part of my social media profile, such as my profile name, username, profile picture, handle, biographical information, name and any other platform content) (collectively, my “Submission”) must comply with the following Submission guidelines (the “Guidelines”):

  • My Submission must not contain any controversial or illicit content.
  • My Submission must not be derogatory or promote bigotry, racism, violence, hatred or harm against any group or individual, or promote any form of discrimination whatsoever (including, but not limited to, discrimination based on race, gender, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age).
  • My Submission must not promote or contain any visible alcoholic beverages, drugs (illegal or otherwise), tobacco, firearms/weapons (or the use of any of the foregoing), any activities that may appear unsafe or dangerous, or any particular political agenda or message.
  • My Submission must not contain any offensive, inappropriate, defamatory or libelous content.
  • My Submission must not contain any content which criticizes, disparages, mocks, ridicules or parodies any brands, products, services, people or organizations.
  • My Submission must not use trademarks, logos or trade dress owned by others (other than Ronald McDonald House Charities and its related programs), or advertise or promote any brand or product of any kind (other than Ronald McDonald House Charities and its related programs).
  • My Submission must not contain any reference to, or likeness of, any identifiable individuals, unless consent has been obtained from all such individuals and their parent/legal guardian if they are under the age of majority in their province/territory of residence.
  • My Submission must not communicate messages or images inconsistent with the positive images and/or goodwill to which Ronald McDonald House Charities wishes to associate.
  • My Submission must not depict, and must not itself, be in violation of any applicable law, regulation, guidelines, policies or social media platform terms of use.
  • My Submission must not contain material that violates or infringes another’s rights, including but not limited to privacy, publicity or intellectual property rights (including without limitation copyright).

I grant to the Campaign Parties the world-wide rights, in perpetuity, to reproduce, copy, publish, perform in public, disseminate, make available, synchronize with other content and materials and otherwise exploit my Submission, including, without limitation, my name, biographical information or other indicia related to me or my Submission (all in whole or in part, as is or as may be edited), and any materials derived therefrom (collectively, the “Materials”) on the Campaign Website and in advertising materials disseminated in connection with the Campaign (including by editing, posting, incorporating and otherwise interacting with my Submission on the Campaign Website); 

I agree that the Campaign Parties’ decision to use my Submission as set out herein is at their sole discretion;

I agree that I shall have no right of approval, no claim to any compensation or benefit arising out of the use of my Submission.
