No matter the distance, WestJet helps bring families
together when they need it the most

Since 2007, WestJet has donated the gift of flight to help RMHC keep families close to their sick children and the care they need to heal. WestJet’s support is truly mission-enabling:

  • WestJet understands that a sick child is a sick family. WestJet’s gift of flight helps to bring families together—from the primary caregiver of the sick child, to the family’s support system for the sick child and the sick child’s primary caregiver.
  • 65% of Canadian families live outside a city with a children’s hospital, so if their child gets sick, they often have to travel long distances for urgent or ongoing medical treatments for their sick child. WestJet’s gift of flight helps to ease the financial burden of that travel.
  • WestJet’s gift of flight makes business administration travel possible, whether for donor events, training, or quarterly board meetings. The budget relief provided by WestJet’s vouchers translates into direct mission support.
  • To help raise much-needed funds, WestJet provides flight vouchers for RMHC to use in its fundraising efforts.

WestJet employees also roll up their sleeves on a regular basis by volunteering at their local RMHC Houses with everything from grocery shopping and meal preparation, to community events and fundraisers. Thank you, WestJetters, for your dedication and partnership in bringing families together when they need it the most, no matter the distance.

“WestJet brings families together. Because of them, tears of joy flow, hugs and kisses are shared, the loving words of encouragement are spoken face-to-face, and families can hold their little ones in their arms for the first time.” – The Panhon Family, who stayed 181 days at RMHC Saskatchewan
