The Breemersch Family's Gratitude Number
Je recueille 198 $ pour OMRM du Canada.

Two years ago, our daughter Katrina was diagnosed with another inoperable brain tumour leaving her blind in her left eye and low vision in her right; turning our family’s life upside down once again. After countless conversations with doctors in Winnipeg, it was decided that she must undergo radiation treatment as she has already had chemo. With no living arrangements and a requirement to stay for several months, our nurse, Cathy, contacted Ronald McDonald House Charities® Manitoba and got us the care we so desperately needed. Staying at Ronald McDonald House® allows us to provide better care for Katrina and reduce the financial burden on our family. The Ronald McDonald House® has become a home away from home for our family. They provide us a place where we can stay and not have to worry about the safety or wellbeing of Katrina and our 3 other children. Not only did they welcome Katrina, my husband Brian and myself, they also welcomed our 3 other children to stay with her to provide the family support she needs. Family is the most important thing in life. Friends and jobs come and go, but family is always there to support you through life’s ups and downs. Memories with family members are so important. As Katrina loses her vision due to her condition, she can take these memories with her to make her journey easier. Katrina strongly felt the need to give back to RMHC Manitoba for the amazing support it offered her and our family when she needed to come in and receive treatments. RMHC Manitoba allowed her to rest between treatments. By becoming involved in the Gratitude Number campaign, she can encourage others to give back. This campaign can help keep the House running so it can be available to support other families like hers. She can’t thank RMHC enough for being such a strong support system to her and her family at times when they’ve needed it most.
