Logan's Fundraiser

Hi, my name is Logan and again this year, I will be participating in my 9th walk for the Ronald McDonald Red Shoe Walk for Families, on October 1st, 2023 at the Joe Byrne Memorial Stadium. Families with a sick child need to be stronger than ever as they manage their own family crisis during a global crisis. Right now, it is still hard for all families to stay close – but it is even harder for a family with a sick or injured child especially those who must travel far from home during these extraordinary circumstances. As our province’s family care charity, we understand the importance of keeping families close, especially during these difficult times. Our families need you, now more than ever. As most of you are aware, this year the walk hits a little closer to our hearts with the lost of one of the best volunteers any organization could ask for. He truly had his heart in the right place from the first meeting in 2011 when he stepped up to start the Red Shoe Crew-Walk for Families events in Grand Falls-Windsor helping raise more than $70,000 for Ronald McDonald House. From there he helped develop the region and engage many other volunteers and supporters. Chad was a very caring individual who didn’t have any children of his own, but gave so much to help others. He loved to have fun and leaves us all with many memorable moments. Chad was presented with a RMHC NL Helping Hand Award in 2018 for his leadership and outstanding volunteer work.
