You know Sheila as your morning coffee warrior, Seth knows Shelia as Grandma. Young Seth was born with cardiomyopathy and later developed hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. Both conditions involve the thickening of the heart muscle and make it harder for the heart to pump blood. After collapsing on the school yard from cardiac arrest in March, 2021, Seth spent months in hospital recovering. While doctors worked with Seth, his family found the support and comfort they needed at RMHC. Hot meals, a soft bed and a shoulder to lean on were always waiting for them after long days spent bedside. Today, Seth is full of vim and vigor. He has a passion for tractors, dirt bikes and quads. A country boy through and through. When faced with an obstacle or doubt, Grandma Sheila is there with words of encouragement – You can’t do something? You mean… you can’t do it, yet! Equipped with their faith, the support of the community and the warm embrace of RMHC, this family is stronger together.
