Hello there! Thank you for stopping by, and welcome to our page! Our 25th McHappy Day will be held on May 2nd this year. Since 1977, more than $55 million has been raised for the Ronald McDonald Houses across Canada. Annually, 80 000 families across BC and the Yukon visit the BC Children's Hospital, with 68% living outside of Greater Vancouver. RMHBC is the 2nd largest house in Canada with 73 unique rooms, and the 5th largest Ronald McDonald House in the world. Families staying in the house do not have to pay a cent for their stay, however, if they can afford it, they only pay $12 a night. The real cost of a room ranges anywhere from $75-120/night. As you can tell, this is a huge financial help to the many families who stay at RMHBC. From April 1st-May 2nd, please feel free to stop by and purchase a heart for $1. All proceeds will go towards our goal. On McHappy Day itself, we will also be donating $1 from every purchase of a Big Mac, Happy meal or any hot beverage! If we raise our goal of $7500, that is 48 nights a family can stay at a RMHBC for absolutely no cost! Much of the financial support to fund RMHBC come from people like you, who visit our many restaurants and willingly choose to donate to our local house. These same donations also fund programs such as music therapy, yoga, meditation, art, massage therapy and family meals. Did I also mention that you will be eligible to receive a tax receipt for your online donation? It's true! At this time, tax receipts are only available for online donations.
